I’ve never felt a softer diaper... ever!
Just received my first box of these diapers and I’m so excited. They’re so soft and after a few nights my baby’s skin is just perfect. I think I found our new favorite diaper!

ManuKind Diapers FAQ
FAQ
What makes Manukind Diapers so unique?
ManuKind combines New Zealand–inspired purity with global innovation. From German-engineered biodegradable wetness indicators to premium Japanese absorbent polymers and FSC-certified USA pulp, every detail is carefully chosen to create diapers that are safe, soft, and sustainable.
Do ManuKind diapers contain chlorine, phthalates, fragrances, latex, parabens, or bleach?
Absolutely not. ManuKind diapers are completely free from chlorine, phthalates, fragrances, latex, parabens, and bleach. Babies’ skin is extremely delicate, so only safe and tested materials touch it.
Are ManuKind diapers cruelty free?
Yes. We never conduct or commission animal testing, and we ensure our suppliers follow cruelty-free standards.
Are ManuKind diapers biodegradable or compostable?
Like all disposable diapers today, ManuKind diapers are not yet fully biodegradable or compostable. Some performance layers still require non-biodegradable materials. However, we maximize plant-based and biodegradable content while ensuring babies enjoy the softest possible diapers. Our long-term vision is to move closer to a fully biodegradable diaper as technology advances.
Are ManuKind diapers TCF (Totally Chlorine Free) or ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free)?
This is a common—and often misunderstood—question.
Historically, pulp was bleached with Elemental Chlorine, which created toxic dioxins. To eliminate this risk, mills transitioned to ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free) bleaching, which uses Chlorine Dioxide—a naturally occurring compound that does not generate dioxins. Chlorine dioxide is even widely used in drinking water treatment for its safety.
At the same time, TCF (Totally Chlorine Free) bleaching was developed in Sweden, using oxygen, ozone, and hydrogen peroxide. TCF also eliminates dioxins but requires more energy and yields less pulp per tree, meaning more wood must be harvested.
At ManuKind we choose ECF because it is:
Safe – Our pulp is chlorine-free and independently tested for baby safety.
Naturally Based – ECF uses chlorine dioxide, a compound that occurs in nature and is safely used worldwide.
Sustainable – Requires less energy and conserves forests compared to TCF.
Reliable – Over 90% of the world’s pulp supply uses ECF, ensuring stable quality and availability.
We use ECF pulp from FSC-certified USA forests, providing the best balance of safety, softness, and environmental responsibility.
Are both ECF and TCF diapers safe for my baby?
Yes. Both ECF and TCF pulp are completely safe for use in diapers. The debate is about environmental impact, not baby health.
Health & Safety: Both eliminate dioxins. Independent dermatological testing (Dermatest, Germany) confirms ManuKind diapers are hypoallergenic and excellent for sensitive skin. Most human dioxin exposure actually comes from food, not diapers.
Environmental Impact:
TCF – No chlorine compounds but higher energy usage and more harvested wood.
ECF – Uses chlorine dioxide (a natural compound), refined over decades into a clean, efficient process. The European BAT/BREF guidelines recognize ECF and TCF as environmentally equal today.
We chose ECF because it protects babies and better preserves the planet by reducing energy use and conserving forests.
